I’m Sam Reuter, also known as The Sammelier – a passionate wine enthusiast. Join me on a journey to explore the fascinating world of wine, with a special love for Bordeaux. On my channels, I share knowledge in a warm, accessible, and professional way – with plenty of background stories, tasting notes, and educational insights. Santé!


About me

I was born in Luxembourg and earned my bachelor's degree in International Hotel and Event Management at the Swiss Hotel Management School in Leysin. During that time, I completed several internships in Lugano, Vevey, Mallorca, and Paris, which gave me a broad perspective on hospitality and culture.My passion for Bordeaux wines began when my grandmother once accidentally opened a bottle of Château Pétrus 1978 to cook her beloved pasta sauce. I’m sure it would have been the best sauce ever - but luckily, my grandfather stepped in just in time, and the whole family got to enjoy this exceptional wine together.I’m a proud member of the Conseil Privé of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Switzerland (covering the German- and Italian-speaking regions as well as Liechtenstein), where I organize exclusive wine events for our members. Through these experiences, I’ve learned extensively about grape varieties, vintages, the stories behind the châteaux, and, of course, from the passionate members themselves.
Outside of wine, I enjoy hiking, playing golf, skiing, traveling, and spending time with my wonderful wife.
